A Printable Father’s Day

Authored By: ellie g Author/Writer

Father’s Day is around the corner….and I’m so proud to announce that I got on the ball EARLY!
When does THAT ever happen?

Only one problem….
I don’t have a father.

OOPSIE!

Don’t worry. This isn’t news to me.
My Dad passed away when I was 7 years old.

This isn’t my favorite holiday.

In fact, not having a Father around for most of my life has made me scared of Fathers {boys} in general.
Good thing I found one to marry. (He still scares me sometimes.)

I don’t feel like I relate to men AT ALL!

However, just because I don’t have a Father. Doesn’t mean you don’t. And there IS a Father living at my house. And MAN did he help me make some CUTE KIDS!

Besides, I didn’t want to give all the “printable fun” to the Mom’s out there!

I made up a really fun printable that can be used for ANY man in your life.
It’s a sports quote…..so it should fit the bill.
I hope.
(Remember…I don’t get boys)

I kind of fell in love with this saying. Partly because I think “The Babe” is pretty awesome. And partly because it’s a good reminder that we all just have to keep pushing through life. No matter who we are.

At first I found it a little disheartening. Because, gosh, if I hit a homerun……shouldn’t I be done?
But we all know that’s not how life works.

It reminds me to keep pushing. Every day is new.
Every day is waiting for another Homerun.

And that frame? Well it’s an UBER cheap middle of the isle kind. $2. It was a natural wood color. I gave it a quick spray of black and then sanded a little off to match the rustic quote.

Do you want one for the Father figure in your life.
(I mean a real Father Figure…..not the George Michael variety)

This printable is sized at 5×7. It won’t look optimal if printed at a larger size. To use, click on image, enlarge to full size, right click & save to your desktop, and print as you’d like! Super simple!
The same usual rules apply for LCMF prinatbles:

(Please….personal use only on the printables. Do not re-post without linking back to this blog. Do not alter, remove watermark, or claim as your own. Feel free to e-mail me or announced.greetings(at) gmail(dot) com with any use questions. Thanks!)

And don’t worry about me.
Father’s Day isn’t my favorite. That’s okay.
Just remember that not everyone has a Father. (or a Mother, for that matter)

And I’ll try to look at the bright side…..that’s one less present for me to worry about! Bonus!

So I think I’m going to print this and put it in Myles room instead. I love that saying! Good job! It’s better than the boos, hotdog’s, whores, who needs steroids saying that my SIL’s 5th grade student printed for his Babe Ruth report. He had no clue what he was doing. Poor kid!

Super cute!! Can you give a newbie some pointers. I bought some white shelves on clearance. I want to paint them to match my room, but I’m not sure where to start. My daughter says just to use acrylic paint from Michaels. I have heard other DIY crafters talk about using spray paint. Do I need to sand the wood before I paint? Help!

I love spray paint. It has a fast, easy, and even finish. Acrylic paint would probably work fine, but you might need to buy a lot. Sanding is great. Definitely, if you’re using a spray paint, I suggest using a spray primer first. That is a key to getting the spray paint to stick. Good luck! Hope it turns out!
