Merry Christmas–In August

Hi friends! I have something kind of fun….or funny….to share today.

You know about Pinterest, right?

Oh please say you do!
If you don’t, you MUST take a few minutes—–let’s be honest, it will probably turn into a few hours—-to check it out!!
It serves as a virtual pinboard for all the best ideas and images that you find around the internet.  Not only will it organize your ideas, but you can follow the people that inspire you and let them show you what they like as well.  It is my FAVORITE way to get inspiration and ideas.

You can find all my pins by clicking on the Pinterest icon on my sidebar.  Or just click this Ellie G Pinterest link.

Anyway…..Pinterest has made it so that some of my older posts have been rediscovered.  And things I made a year ago are being “pinned”.

One of the ones that I get the very MOST questions about is this Christmas post from last year.  It’s not my lovely decor that gets the questions….but THIS poster that quotes Buddy the Elf.

Seriously, at the time, I wanted to have a chance to hear some people’s favorite Christmas Movies.  And I thought a couple people would like a copy of the poster.  And so a few days before Christmas…..in the midst of a full time job, holidays, shopping, etc…I ended up sending 400 personalized e-mails with this poster file.  That’s more than “a few!”

400 emails!  That’s not an exaggeration.  In fact, it’s probably conservative.

I finally had to put a stop sending them.

I have had quite a few requests throughout the year…

“It’s not Christmas anymore….do you think there’s any way you could send me that poster?”

And I have.

But since Pinterest came on the scene those requests have EXPLODED again!

THE BUDDY THE ELF (CHRISTMAS CHEER) POSTER CAN BE FOUND AT ANNOUNCED DESIGNS AND IS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE IN 2 SIZES AND 2 COLORS.

Click HERE: to be directed to the site.

After all, I could watch Buddy year round.  It’s hilarious.  And when we recently visited Mexico and our waiter told us his name was “Fransisco”…..well I could barely contain myself from yelling “Fransisco, that’s fun to say!”

Maybe thinking about Christmas will take you’re mind off the insane heat.  Or maybe it will just make you super stressed.  Either way.  Buddy’s quote still rings true….all year….

THE BEST WAY TO SPREAD CHRISTMAS CHEER,
IS SINGING LOUD FOR ALL TO HEAR!

I’m off to sing REALLY loud in the shower. My shower concerts are legendary. And no you can’t come listen. Weird.

Do you have anything to say? 49 Comments

Heavens no! You’re not a pest. There were just so many requests, I decided it was better to just put it up. :) I like “Fransisco…that’s fun to say!”

Thanks so much!! I just discovered your website (and it ROCKS, by the way!), and was disappointed that I couldn’t get the super cute quote from one of my favorite Christmas movies. I thought it was so adorable in the teal frame and really wanted one of my own. But to my delight it was back today. I will be framing this to join my Christmas decor this year. Thanks again!

        Ellie,
Thank you for the clarification. My problem was that my computer settings were not allowing the download to show up on my screen – it was a large blank space! Hence my confusion. Switched computers and my problem was solved. Thanks for posting this – I look forward to printing it for my sister as a Christmas present. She starts singing carols as soon as she can and will adore it!

Thanks! I was also getting a big, blank space but simply right clicking it gave me the option of downloading the file. Crisis averted! Awesome download, thanks again!

Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!! I didn’t even know this existed until tonight (just found your blog a few weeks ago), and now I get to have one. How often do we get such instant gratification. Um, almost never would be my answer.

Fall has become my favorite holiday as a parent. The weather is changing, and there are so many fun, family centered holidays. And, of course, Christmas tops it all OFF. My absolute favorite holiday. Hands down. And, I LOVE Elf. This will be up every year starting in approximately 3 months. :) )

I found this on pinterest today and pinned it before realizing it wasn’t linked back to you… although it had a watermark. I’m sorry! I commented that YOU were the source of this awesomeness, but I’m not certain if you can delete a re-pin and add the source. I’ll work on it. Thanks for sharing it. My kids are going to be THRILLED when I put it up at the end of the month!!! :) Happy November.

I’ve seen this ever since I starting “pinning” and I’m finally going through them all, trying to “clean up” ,if you say.

Elf is one of my ALL TIME favorite movies and I absolutely LOVE your design so much! I’m a Christmas nut and just *need* this :D

I went over to Annouced Design and couldn’t find this poster. :( (Even though I found tons of other adorable goodies!)
