I just returned home from the CHA (Craft & Hobby Association) Trade show. I’m planning on giving you a wrap-up on that trip. Just so you can see some of the fun stuff I got to check out while I was there.
Before all that though…I need to get some rest, and see my family.
I loved hearing that my cute husband took my daughter to dance class 45 minutes early while he was in charge. She kept telling him that the lady there wasn’t her teacher. And once they finally confirmed that indeed, it was the wrong class..she said “My Mom’s not here and my Daddy is confused!”
Today is February first. For real? I can’t believe how fast time flies. I’ve had so much fun getting out my Valentine’s day decor and making a few new things. I’m excited to share them.
Valentines Day is pretty much WAY more fun now that I’m married. I wasn’t exactly a “love machine” as a kid.
Okay, let’s get real here.
I never had a boyfriend.
I never went to prom.
I must have been fairly dorky. Like big time.
I would sit and hope that SOMEONE would acknowledge me on Valentines Day….never happened.
Until I met my hubby. He took super good care of me. Including sending me a teddy bear on our first Valentines Day with a note that says “If I’d have known you in High School…I would have sent you lots of Valentines.”
Ummmm….hello?
Now you know why I married that one!
Oddly, Valentines Day still kind of brings up some of those old feelings of “doesn’t anyone wanna “Be Mine“?
That got me thinking about writing dorky notes. You know…the ones that would get you an answer about your love?
I mean, as a younger girl (like 12 or so) I did get assigned a boyfriend. And we were assigned a “song” too.
After all the “cool kids” were paired off….I was left with “I Want Action” by Poison.
Yep.
Not kidding.
I had no idea what it meant.
I had lots of crushes. LOTS.
Lots of dramatic broken hearts. LOTS.
Lots of things that didn’t even matter. LOTS.
Now, sometimes, I want to send notes to the hubs, just to get the right “box” checked.
Do you want to hang a dorky note in your Valentine decor?
Click on the arrow with a line under it…in the above window. Just press it, and the image file should download right to your computer! Easy Peezy!
You can then print the file anywhere you’d like. This file is sized at 16×20. It will not print optimally at a bigger size. (But you can print it at a smaller size if you’d like.)
As usual PLEASE follow the following rules for Less Cake {more frosting} printables:
- LCMF prinatables are for PERSONAL USE only. You may not re-sell, re-distribute, or claim them as your own.
- Please do not remove the watermark.
- If posting on the internet, you MUST post a link back to this website.
- Personalization, color changes, and other customizations are not available on freebie printables. They are offered “as-is”.
No matter how old we get….we still need a little “do you love me?” reassurance every now and then. Right?

How cute…great job!
Adorable!
Thanks so much, love your stories. You’re the best! Hugs, Andi at Hotpinkpansy.com
LOVE IT! Adorable
Cute! I love it!
That’s fantastic!
Actually sounds like our high school dating experiences were very similar.
The difference now is that you grew up to be cool
When my (now) hubby and I were dating (we finally kissed at the beginning of that February) he gave me a little something every day for Valentine’s week…like a VeggieTales video, or Cupid poops (heart redhots)
Anyway, love the printable!
So daang cute, love the note your hubby gave you for first valentines too
Your hubby was also early to pick your son from my house. He was totally on top of things. I also heard that he was on time to church. He deserves a pat on the back.
This is how my husband proposed to me but with Will you Marry Me? of course! lol He put the note on my cat so she would jump in my lap and I would see it around her neck.
Super cute printable my dear!
Completely adorable! Love this idea
So cute Lara – as always!!! I love it!!
I LOVE the nerdy note printable. I’m pretty sure I’ve written a note like that EVERY YEAR for v-day to various men. No, I didn’t get asked out. No, still not married. Yep. Still a dork. BUT I LOVE IT ANYWAY!!! THANK YOU!!!
ah…the memories!
Love this one
This cracks me up! So cute!
Too cute. Thanks so much
This is awesome. Great job! I hope you will link this up to my I Heart Projects Linky Party if you haven’t already.

So cute! I just pinned it!
Oh Lara….You make me laugh at the things you remember. I wish so badley I could remember the boy you’re referring to. Were we in 7th grade? I’m so behind at catching up on your blog but this printout is darling! I love the idea and it’s so unique.
Oh and I wanted to mention that I love that this is in your handwriting. I totally recognized it. Must have been all the years of our own little “love” notes exchanged between the 2 of us. At least we had each other right? Tee Hee!
