Let’s keep it real….here’s my kitchen…
I mean, sure. It’s gonna get cleaned up. Eventually. But it’s a mess.
We’ve had our fair share of messes around here. Especially lately. It’s awful hard when Mom’s not keeping up on things at home. A house can get TRASHED so super fast. It’s kind of disheartening.
Gratefully, I have freakin’ ROCKING friends that do amazing things for me. Like how my friend Amy came over and helped me clean my whole house. Top to bottom. Well, I didn’t help much. Just watched. (and can I just say….most uncomfortable sitch ever? I felt so silly sitting there!)
But what I’m really trying to get at is that sometimes you just need a fresh start. Like the fact that she came and gave me a fresh canvas to start from, means today, I just need to make sure I keep up on the dishes. And pick up a little at a time. It’s a major lifesaver and mood booster.
That’s why I’m so excited about this contest over at ForRent.com.
The contest will run to April 23rd. Contestants just have to like the Facebook page at facebook.com/aptsforrent and upload your messiest apartment photo under our contest tab!
The panel of judges will then choose five finalists who have the messiest apartment. Then, turn the voting over to the ForRent.com Facebook friends! The public will decide from the five finalists who wins the grand prize of $3,000.
Not a grand prize winner? Not to worry! Four finalists will each win $500! The winners will be announced on or around April 30th.
Use the money to clean, buy new apartment goodies, or do whatever you need to give your apartment a facelift!
I just cannot stress ENOUGH the mood booster it is to walk into a room that isn’t a disaster. Like it really surprised me HOW much happier I feel. So what are you waiting for? Go over and enter ForRent’s Contest NOW!!
ForRent.com has paid me to review their contest and offer my opinion. I only recommend companies or services I believe my readers will enjoy.

K…this is totally keeping it real and glad to see it instead of the dust speck free pictures that are usually posted with the ‘oh, excuse the mess!’
What an awesome friend to come and help! Do check out http://www.flylady.com though—it will help you–and those helping you…she says “15 minutes at a time….you can do anything for 15 minutes at a time” Trust me-there are days that I do those 15 minutes —more like 5 at a time 3x!!! But—it does help. I “fly” (as in flybaby of Flylady…) with fibromyalgia and tons of perimenopausal symptoms (currently awaiting hysterectomy now that I FINALLY found a decent doctor!)–and had gall bladder battles for a year before I caved and had first surgery ever last year… Anyway—I haVe rooms that look like that disaster area—they come and go….but I’ve been able to do some small things each day that helps-well, most days I can-and when I can’t—it’s not soo bad because I’ve kinda kept it up—anyway-hope it helps-and thoughts and prayers continue for you on your healing journey! Blessings, Sharon
Love you
