The Address to Gettysburg Part 2

Last year about this time I was BASKING in what I felt was my most EPIC LCMF project to date. The Vinyl re-creation of the Gettysburg Address

Little did I know that an entire year later it would STILL be the most epic project to date.

(either that means that it was TRULY so epic that it will never BE topped….or that I’ve spent the last 12 months doing less than 100% quality work.)

Still probably one of the MOST asked about projects. And one of the MOST requested to reproduce.
(and PS…..people have begged and nearly offered me their first born for a copy of this project. So PLEASE keep your first borns. No need for that kind of desperation!)

I think I was pretty honest in saying that I don’t know of any person in their right mind who’d like to re-create it in vinyl. It literally took me days. And may be the culprit of why my bum hurts to this day. (okay…that last part isn’t true…)

But since it is so MUCH requested I decided to make it into a printable version for this year’s holiday.

I know it comes a bit late, I’m guessing most of you are all decorated for the season. But know that my heart was in the right place. I’ve had kind of a rough month.

Click on the arrow with a line under it…in the above window. Just press it, and the image file should download right to your computer! Easy Peezy!

You can then print the file anywhere you’d like. This file is sized at 16×20. It will not print optimally at a bigger size. (But you can print it at a smaller size if you’d like.)

As usual PLEASE follow the following rules for Less Cake {more frosting} printables:

  • LCMF prinatables are for PERSONAL USE only. You may not re-sell, re-distribute, or claim them as your own.
  • Please do not remove the watermark.
  • If posting on the internet, you MUST post a link back to this website.
  • Personalization, color changes, and other customizations are not available on freebie printables. They are offered “as-is”.

If you are interested in purchasing the print in different color schemes or without the LCMF watermark please visit Announced Designs where 4 color schemes are available for immediate download for a small charge.

I am still ABSOLUTELY in love with the message and the man. And still get misty every single time I read the speech in it’s entirety.

Even if I won’t be celebrating as much as I normally do. I will still have on my Playlist of awesome songs and I usually can see some fireworks from my back deck. So I’ll probably take a trip out there and see what I can see.

In the interest of feeling positive about the fact that I won’t be able to sit through a traditional fun fireworks show….I’ve tried to think of my Pollyanna thought. I have begun to play “The Glad Game” with my current health situation. Here’s what I have:

This year when Mr. Greenwood sings about “God Bless the USA”….
and he says “stand up, next to you”….
I’ll already be standing.
‘Cause I can’t sit.
There you go.

Happy Independence Day friends. Be safe with your celebrations!

I’m sorry it’s not working for you. There should be a download and print button in the window. Looks like it’s working for some other readers, and works from my computer as well. Maybe refresh your screen and try again?

Try right clicking on it. The print option should pop up and you can then save it as a file.

I’m imagining 200 Japanese lanterns right now, with just the mention of Polyanna:)

Right? I sure want to be wrapped in part of the flag and eat a giant piece of watermelon. Pollyanna is my hero!

Teri, Where you see the picture of the red printable surrounded in a grey background there is a little strip under it that says “box” in blue lettering with some white icons all to it’s right…. there is a chunky white arrow with a faint white line under it. You press that arrow. Hope that helps!

And thanks Ellie for the printable!! Happy 4th of July!!

Ok I love this, but what’s more important is that my husband, the history teacher, loves it too! He wants to print a copy to put in his classroom. Thanks so much for sharing. I remember when you did this project last year and I thought it was just as you said…EPIC. Hope your recovery is going well!

This is so beautiful. We are moving, so I didn’t have any decorations up. I thought. This is perfect, I can put up one print to celebrate. Thank you so much.
