Me Lucky Charms Calendar

Were you aware that today is National Pig Day?
Me neither.
But somehow my piggie obsessed 5 year old daughter caught wind of it and she made sure that we were all celebrating, by getting out every pig she owns.  (that’s a lot…PS)  So here is my homage.

Ironically, she also adores pig meat products.  And we haven’t hidden where they come from.  She seriously loves bacon.  (I mean, really don’t most of us?)  My most favorite comment of all time came during a recent breakfast,

“Mom, why are the cutest animals so stinkin’ delicious?”

I don’t know honey.  I truly don’t.

As promised, here is your March printable calendar.  I apologize for the lack of the February one.  That hard drive crash took me way off guard.  Gratefully (but not cheaply) we were able to get back all our information.  And have since signed up for an online backup service.  So be that a warning to you children.   I never thought it would happen to me.  And sure enough…..I almost puked, no kidding.

As usual PLEASE follow the following rules for Less Cake {more frosting} printables:

  •  LCMF prinatables are for PERSONAL USE only. You may not re-sell, re-distribute, or claim them as your own.
  • Please do not remove the watermark.
  • If posting on the internet, you MUST post a link back to this website.
  • Personalization, color changes, and other customizations are not available on freebie printables. They are offered “as-is”.
  • The BOX printing service LCMF uses to present it’s printables requires Flash technology, therefore, you may not be able to print from some phones, tablets, and other portable devices. Please try from a stand-alone computer or laptop.

I know so many of you have been patiently waiting for an entry.  Either a health update or a project or another word of the year or SOMETHING!!!!

And I want to offer my sincerest apologies.

I have started an entry 50 times.  And it just hasn’t been the right time.  It would have been pushed, and inorganic.  I PROMISE as soon as I’m ready.  I’ll be back.  Full force.  I’m working on some fun changes for the site.   And praying that everyone will be willing to come back and join our amazing community when the time comes.  I miss all of you.  And I know it seems like I should just be able to type no matter what.  But for anyone who has been on narcotics. and in large amounts of pain…they’ll be able to tell you why it’s not that easy.

Soon.  I promise.  Soon.  There’s been some improvement FINALLY in the last week.  So I have faith that healing might be on it’s way.  Even though saying that out loud makes me worry about jinxing something.

Am I working through some depression?  You betcha.  So many things to take on and figure out.  I’m not a fan of spreading that around like a depression peanut butter sandwich, however.  I know there’s a reason for everything.  And when I figure out THAT reason, that’s when I will be here to share with you.  I have a strong hope that it will coming very soon as I see small steps forward.

I have 10,000 thank yous to send.  I never even sent our Christmas Cards.  I feel like there’s no way to make up a year of a person’s life.  But I hope to very soon do my best.

You are much more likely to find me checking in over on the LCMF Facebook page.  So make sure to give it a like until we get going around here again.

And once again….shout out to all of you for your fantastic support!

You guys….I’m so overwhelmed with the love and support I’ve felt this week from readers. Both people I actually know, and people who I have just met and bonded with online. (Don’t ever let anyone tell you that an online friendship can’t be for-real.)

It has been a rough one around these parts, for sure.

I still want to respond to all the lovely comments and encouragement, and plan to…there’s just SO MUCH.

It will take me a bit.  It’s an awesome problem to have.

BS day was delightful.  Beyond delightful.

Yesterday, I kinda wanted a “do-over” BS Day.  I had a really awful Dr. Appointment.  It wasn’t anything I wasn’t getting mentally prepared to hear….but sometimes really hearing it is just worse than I can even prepare for.

Eventually, I will process it, and try to figure out a way to be positive about it.  Hopefully I will find a way to re-structure my lifestyle so that it doesn’t ruin my existence.  And mostly I need to find a coping mechanism that doesn’t involve Easter candy.

But until that time comes….

Bring on the Cadbury!

After all….tomorrow is another day!

Oh Scarlett….how I adore your brand of mental illness and tenacity!

Tomorrow IS another day.  It’s St. Patty’s day.  And we don’t have anything too exciting planned.  The leprechaun will for sure pee in our potty tonight.  Because, if we’ve learned anything from “Fiddler on the Roof” it’s that TRADITION is king.  (I’ve also learned that cemeteries are super scary…but that’s a post for another day.)

Last year I made this super fun poster for St. Patties day.  And this year it just fits my snarky little attitude.  Is it a coincidence that I frequently have a snarky attitude?  Probably not.

This year, I mostly find anyone who can control their personal gas issues, lucky….
so…I bet that’s you!

Click on the arrow with a line under it…in the above window. Just press it, and the image file should download right to your computer! Easy Peezy!

You can then print the file anywhere you’d like. This file is sized at 8×10. It will not print optimally at a bigger size. (But you can print it at a smaller size if you’d like.)

Print it out today, and then after you chuckle….figure out a reason why YOU are lucky.
I know I can find a ton of them. Even on a day when I feel picked on.

Today I feel lucky because….

  • The pineapple I picked out is perfectly sweet and puckery.  A complete delight.
  • Nick Jr. is on all day long, to entertain my 4 year old, when I just can’t do it.
  • My Mommy is coming to see me tomorrow, and fold my underpants.
  • Spray Paint weather is roaring to a town near you.
  • I found coral colored, patent leather pumps at the thrift store.  And they will put an actual “SPRING” in my step.
  • Janet Jackson’s “Control” came on my shuffle this morning.  And I feel it was a sign from God.

So, luck shmuck….luck is what you make it.

Luck of the Irish…

My little interchangeable poster frame, is in need of a St. Patty’s poster. And yes, I know it’s only gonna be in there for 10 days. But still. I wanted it to feel loved.
And I’ll get right on a Springy one to fill it next! :)

We don’t really decorate for St. Patrick’s day around here.  Not much.  We do have a tricky little Leprechaun that comes the night before St. Patty’s and leaves shamrocks all over the house.  He also turns the milk green.  And usually uses our potty before he leaves.

How would we know that?
There’s “green pee” in the potty.
Okay.
I put 2 drops of food coloring in the toilet before I go to bed.

It’s the simplest thing, and the kids think it’s HI-LAR-IOUS!

Regardless….
I wanted a little something to put on the wall for the next week or so.  Yes. I should have done it before now.
So sue me.
(If you REALLY wanna sue me….be sure to mention in your lawsuit that my Valentines day decor just came down yesterday.  And not even all of it.  I gotta do the rest today!)

I spent the weekend researching some really inspiring quotes about luck to turn into my wall art.
I found some really great ones about Luck being the time when preparation meets opportunity, and how lucky people are the hardest workers.
Yada Yada, Yada.
I was totally inspired.

But then I came across this completely awesome, and snarky statement from F. Scott Fitzgerald.

And it became my IMMEDIATE winner!

Sometimes I like to display my sarcastic attitude on my wall……for all the world to see!!

I thought I’d share my St. Patty’s printable with all my awesome readers.  So I made it up in an 8×10 size for you to have at home.  Maybe you like to display your sarcastic attitude on your wall as well?

Here’s the green version that I put in my white frame:

I also made this white version that would look MARVIE in a black frame, or even better….a bright green one!

These printables are sized at 8×10. They won’t look optimal if printed at a larger size.  To use, click on image, enlarge to full size, right click & save to your desktop, and print as you’d like!  Super simple!
The same usual rules apply for LCMF prinatbles:

(Please….personal use only on the printables. Do not re-post without linking back to this blog. Do not alter, remove watermark, or claim as your own. Feel free to e-mail me or announced.greetings@gmail.com with any use questions. Thanks!)

The one I used is actually a 16×20 poster that I had printed at Costco.  I am IN LOVE with the 16×20 poster!  It is my new favorite way to decorate for holidays!  I have been changing out the picture each holiday.  And the prints are only around $6.  Such a bargain, for a big print!!

If you are interested in getting the larger size (which also doesn’t have the LCMF watermark on it)  You can purchase the digital file from ANNOUNCED GREETINGS for just $5.

Or, you can stick with these ‘lil 8×10′s which are totally cute too.
Either way.

I am open to admitting that sometimes I am completely annoyed by “other people’s luck.”
It’s true.
And I don’t think that makes me bad.
Just human!
